| Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring . . . Frannie's cabin is a year-round experience. |
| Each season is unique, offering it's own special beauty. |

January and February are often overlooked. However, these months offer the best weather for hiking. Admittedly, there are some nasty days in January and February too. Good weather for hiking in January and February just comes and goes. If it does snow, continue your hiking with snowshoes. There's nothing like the Ozark Mountains on a winter day with fresh snow on the ground. Quiet and beautiful. Some people enjoy coming to the cabin on those cold and windy days. They find it relaxing to stay inside: sip cocoa, play Scrabble by the blazing fire, enjoy the hot tub and the rock-walled steamer/shower; all the while listening to the howl of the wind outside. But if that is not for you, you may be interested a "tentative" reservation with me.
I can only do this for the months of January and February. I am a new business and I have more available dates than more established cabin rentals have, so I have more flexibility. The spring months provide ample rainwater for floating the Buffalo River, and bring pleasant temperatures to hike through the woods. You can get outside to do some birding, visit waterfalls, watch the barn swallows sit on their eggs, and all the while enjoy the wildflowers. |

In the summer months of July and August what could be better that putting together smores' around an evening campfire, stargazing and watching the fireflies dance across the meadow. In the early morning watch the sun come up over the mountain tops on your hike to Hawksbill Crag and afterwards go for a dip in one of the many swimming hole along the Buffalo River or take a horseback ride on the back roads of the national forest and cool off afterwards at Eden Falls cave at Lost Valley. Life is Good! |

October and the early part of November are prime months to take some leisurely strolls down the country lanes at Frannies Cabin. View the pleasant countryside with its richly hued dogwood, maple, black gum and hickory trees from the hot tub, or take strolls among the trees decked out in full autumn color. For your leaf peeping getaway make your reservation in advance and don't forget your camera! |

| Could
anything be cozier than yuletide in a country cabin? Come to find joy in the
little things, dash outdoors to count the season's first snowflakes. Sip
cocoa by the blazing fire. Bake cookies in the kitchen. And breathe in the
aromas of oranges and cloves and evergreen boughs.
This is December at its best.
