Eden Falls at Lost Valley

You can spend a day hiking the Lost Valley Trail. It's an easy hike with lots of variety. At the end of the trail is Eden Falls cave, remember to bring your flashlights (always carry 2 forms of light while in caves.)

Afterwards, go to Kingston.  You might even catch a glimpse of some elk on the way as you drive through historic Boxley Valley.  (Remember to bring your binoculars.) Kingston is a charming little country town and it’s relaxing to walk around the square, going into Grandpa’s Place to see his antiques and then stopping for hamburgers and homemade pie at the Valley Café.

Another nearby hiking trail and one of the most recognized spots in Arkansas is the Hawksbill Crag/Whittaker Point. Numerous photos, including the cover of the 2005 Rand McNally road atlas, have been taken of this amazing rock outcrop.

You can spend a day hiking a portion of the Ozark Highlands Trail. Then afterwards stop for hamburgers at Ozone’s Burger Barn.  Follow your meal with antiquing at Patsy’s Peek. It's an opportunity to shop in a quaintly restored farmhouse.

From the cabin there is easy access to the thousands of miles of Ozark National Forest roads.

Depending on the season, you can spend the day floating lazily past towering limestone bluffs or canoeing the white water rapids. Then dry off and find an elk herd to photograph.

There are caves to explore, rocks to climb, the quaint Boxley Valley historic district to visit; Parker Hickman Homestead, Villines' Cabin and a majestic elk herd to photograph.

You could also discover the tucked away Victorian village of Eureka Springs. Stroll through streets lined with lovely Victorian architecture, shop at boutiques, visit local spa's and take a ride on Eureka Springs and North Arkansas Railway. Each evening during the summer, the Great Passion Play is enacted

Or travel south to Altus, Arkansas' wine country and visit the Post winery, the Wiederkehr winery and their wine tasting room, restaurant and St Mary's Church.
